Meet Our Doctors

drm-2 Dr. Chris Moshoures was born in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He attended undergraduate school in Florida and then University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He graduated from Southern College of Optometry (Memphis) in 1972 and served a one-year externship in Jacksonville, N.C. Dr. Moshoures opened the first ever full-time eye care practice in Brunswick County on August 1, 1973. He has established locations in Shallotte and Southport.  Dr. Moshoures is an active member of the North Carolina State Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Kathy DesLauriers is originally from Indiana. She attended dr-dundergraduate and graduate school at Indiana University. She practiced in Indianapolis and in St. Louis before moving to North Carolina. She has been with our practice for nineteen years. Her husband, Gene, is the director of the physical therapy department at Dosher Hospital in Southport. They have three children: Danielle, Andrea, and Johnathon. Dr. DesLauriers’ special interest are in children’s vision and contact lenses. Dr. DesLauriers is an active member of the North Carolina State Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

dr-c Dr. Elizabeth Cooke is a native of Statesville, North Carolina.  She graduated from the University of North Carolina At Charlotte with a degree in Biology and Chemistry.  She attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  She graduated with honors, receiving a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2005. Her interships include the Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Holland and Holland Eye Care in Raleigh, NC, and the Colorado Optometric Center in Denver, CO.  She moved to Brunswick County in 2005, joining the Vision Square Eye Care practice.  She currently resides at Sunset Beach, NC.  She is an active member of the AOA and currently the president of the NCSOS .

dr-w Dr. Debbie Webb is from Laurinburg, NC.  She graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a degree in Biology.  She attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, receiving a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997.  Starting her own practice in Laurinburg in 1998, she enjoyed seeing patients in her hometown.  She moved to North Myrtle Beach in 2004 and joined Vision Square Eye Care in September 2007.  With friends and family in this area, she loves practicing optometry in this community.  She is  an active member of the North Carolina State Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

100_6461 Karen MoshouresFNAO, is a N.C. licensed and board certified optician. She manages our laboratory and the optical department at the Shallotte office. Karen has been associated with this practice since 1977.
